Housing: Sales

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what information his Department holds on the number of property sales in (a) Basildon, (b) Thurrock, and (c) Essex which have not been successful in each of the last five years.

    My Department closely monitors industry data relating to property transactions as part of the policymaking process, but it does not collect data on the reasons for residential property transaction failures or the average cost to sellers of such failures.
