Kenneth Stevenson MP: written questions

4 Jul 2025–3 Jul 2026

How these years work

Our reporting years run from 4 July to 3 July, starting with the 2024 general election. They are not official parliamentary sessions. Office costs keep IPSA’s April–March financial years. Records may cover only part of a year; a missing record does not mean no work was done.

Question: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether her Department has considered publishing separate figures for the amount raised in each nation and region, including Scotland, from the apprenticeship levy collected via HMRC.

Answer: HMRC does not require or collect data on where in the UK the economic activities occurs in order to collect the Apprenticeship Levy. Receipts data based on company registered addresses do not necessarily reflect where liabilities are accrued.
