What Parliament records
This category covers registrable interests in companies or other bodies through shares. Parliament's rules use ownership proportion and value criteria for deciding when holdings must be registered.
How the 2024/25 figure works
We show the number of newly appearing category 7 records in complete register comparisons for this financial year. We do not rank MPs by a shareholding's value because comparable market values are not available for every entry.
This category has no comparable value-based top ten. See this year’s category →
What the figure leaves out
The record count is not the number of shares held or the total value of an MP's investments.
Only records available in complete compared register editions are included. Registration does not imply wrongdoing.
