What Parliament records

These entries describe ongoing paid employment arrangements, such as an agreement to carry out work for an outside organisation. A stated value describes the arrangement, not necessarily a payment already made.

How the 2024/25 figure works

MPs are ranked by the sum of the stated values for distinct agreement records first published during this financial year. The evidence page shows each agreement and groups those values by declared payer.

What the figure leaves out

We do not add agreement values to received earnings. Agreements can cover different periods or conditions, so the sum is not an annual pay comparison or proof of payments received. The financial year here uses first register publication, rather than a payment date.

Only records available in complete compared register editions are included. Registration does not imply wrongdoing.
